Submission Requirements
- AI-generated content is strictly prohibited. That means any books that had genAI used in the creation process (from research to “writing” to cover art to marketing) will not be featured on our site. That also means you can’t use genAI to create your article. You must write it yourself.
- You must write your article in Google docs and grant us “Editor” access when you share it with us. This is so we can view your version history. Don’t worry, we won’t be judging your writing process! This is one of our ways to ensure our platform stays free of genAI.
- Your article should be informative and written in an engaging tone. Our readers are looking for their next favorite romance book, and our job is to provide them recs in a fun way!
- We’re looking for articles between 900 and 2,000 words.
- Please follow our style guide. Your article may also go through light edits for consistency, branding, and search engine optimization.
Compensation
There are two options for compensation:
- A flat fee of $60 per article. This will be sent via PayPal (who may take a transaction fee), so you must have a PayPal account and provide us your PayPal email address. Payment will be issued within two weeks of your article being accepted.
- Space in your article to promote yourself. If you’re an author, two of the book recs in your article can be yours (they will be labeled as such per our advertising guidelines). If you’re an influencer or shop owner, you can promote your Fable book club, your (licensed) merch, your store, etc. You will not receive any monetary compensation if you choose this option.
